Senior Architectural Systems has published a new, independently verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its SF52 aluminium curtain wall system. Developed to EN 15804+A2 and verified to ISO 14025:2011, the EPD provides transparent, third-party assessed data on environmental performance, including global warming potential, energy use, and water consumption across the full life cycle. The new EPD has also been developed in line with BS EN 18001:2024 Environmental product declarations – Product category rules for curtain walling.
Unlike more generic EPDs, Senior’s publication includes all system components—thermal breaks, gaskets, fixings—and accounts for fabrication, delivery, and the energy-intensive extrusion process.
