Managing more than 22,000 homes across the Midlands, whg is committed to taking a proactive approach to tackling damp and mould. In 2023, the housing provider introduced Aico’s HomeLINK technology and Environmental Sensors into a selection of properties more susceptible to damp and mould, enabling teams to monitor temperature and humidity levels and identify potential risks before issues escalate. As of March 2026, 47 whg homes are fitted with Aico Environmental Sensors.
Building on this success, whg adopted Aico’s HomeLINK Case Management system in 2024. The platform allows surveying, housing and asset management teams to manage cases collaboratively, record inspections and remedial works, monitor recurring issues and maintain a clear audit trail of actions taken.
A key feature used by whg is ‘Finding My Silence’, which highlights properties showing elevated humidity levels despite no active case being reported. This enables earlier intervention and supports a preventative approach to property management.
Dave Batsford, Regional Surveying Manager at whg, said: “Aico’s Case Management system has become a vital tool for our surveying team. The visibility it provides means nothing is missed, and we can clearly demonstrate the proactive steps we’re taking to protect residents and homes.”
