A Legacy of Lightweight Strength
RECYFIX first launched in 1995, offering specifiers a lightweight alternative to HAURATON’s fibre-reinforced concrete drainage systems without compromising on strength. The new RECYFIX NC X builds on that heritage, targeting commercial and light industrial applications where heavy static loading – rather than high-frequency dynamic forces – is the primary feature. Examples of ideal applications include forecourts, loading bays and car parks.
Built for the Job
At the core of the system is a durable, corrosion-resistant polypropylene (PP) channel body paired with a multi-point locked ductile iron grating, rated up to load class F 900. Eight bolts per metre keep the grating firmly secured, while a steel reinforced edge frame resists lateral movement and dynamic loading. A self-centring bolt design means installers can locate and secure fixings quickly, and just as easily release them for maintenance – even after years in service.
The channel’s PP construction retains its shape under compression, resists frost, corrosion, chemicals, UV radiation and de-icing salts and performs across a wide temperature range from -30°C to +80°C. Internally, a smooth surface promotes efficient water flow, reducing the risk of standing water or debris build-up.
Practical On-Site Benefits
RECYFIX NC X arrives on site fully assembled, cutting installation time and complexity. Its low weight means no heavy lifting equipment is needed and the channel can be cut, drilled, or otherwise adapted on-site to suit project-specific requirements. It’s even light enough for one-person installation – offering an advantage on tighter project timelines.
Available in nominal widths from 100 to 400mm, RECYFIX NC X gives specifiers a flexible, low-maintenance solution for applications subject to heavy loads and moderate dynamic forces.
