Saint-Gobain PAM UK has launched a new pre-assembly service for its above ground BS EN 877 Ensign cast iron drainage system after close collaboration with mechanical and public health contractors FMS Ltd on the Peninsula Hotel project in London.
The pre-assembly service from PAM which can save on-site labour costs of up to 60%, involves early feasibility engagement, to CAD and 3D BIM design using the latest digital software. Soil stacks for vertical risers are pre-assembled in purpose made stillage’s at the plant in Telford, before being air tested as standard prior to dispatch. The stacks are labelled according to the drawings and are in full compliance with BS EN 12056.
The stillage’s are fitted with wheels to provide easy movement to manoeuvre the stack assemblies to install positions.
