St Clements Church in Truro, Cornwall was in desperate need of a pathway refurbishment.
The current surfacing looked dull and was full of weeds. Additionally the existing gravel was rough and difficult for wheelchair users to move across.
The requirement was for a surfacing solution that was smooth, porous and easy for the church to maintain. They also wanted a surface that complemented the colour tones of the church.
With a base just a few miles down the road, Oltco Ltd who specialise in resin bound surfacing solutions were contacted. They suggested their Crantock blend resin bound surfacing to fulfil the criteria and used Long Rake Spar specialist dried aggregates for the mix.
Long Rake Spar provide a large range of natural aggregate granules that are designed for use in resin bound or bonded paving.
The outside of the church has been completely transformed with the resin bound pathways Oltco installed and the area is now much easier to walk on and easy for wheelchair users to access.
