Pendock has recently supplied MX and CH pipe boxing profiles to cover pipe work at Sevenoaks Primary School, rebuilt as part of the ‘Priority Schools Building Program.’ Led and majority funded by the Education Funding Agency, along with the support of Kent County Council, the scheme represents a sustainable, fit-for-purpose and much needed replacement of the original 50-year-old building.

MX profile is a two-sided pipe casing, suitable for high or low levels and can be installed vertically, horizontally and at corners to cover pipework and heating services, soil, vent and rainwater pipes. Hardwearing and maintenance free, the ply boxing is manufactured at their Telford premises and can be supplied in a wide range of colour options.

Standard MX sizes range from 75 x 150mm up to 300 x 300mm but Pendock can also manufacture tailored versions of all of its product ranges to meet particular client needs. The MX range comes with a comprehensive range of accessories, including external and internal corners, butt joints, stop ends, access panels and a boxing pack to facilitate smooth installation and enable a professional finish to be achieved.

The main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland’s Project Manager, Wayne Catterall commented: “The boxing profiles from Pendock were specified because they are easy to install and provide a very neat finish. They also serve to isolate pipes and other services for health & safety considerations, while the manufacturer offers technical support as well as reliable delivery dates.”

Also specified for the Sevenoaks Primary project were Pendock’s CH, three-sided channel casing, offering a smart solution to the encasement of pipework and structural elements at mid-wall vertical or horizontal locations, including bulkheads and available in white melamine or laminate finishes. The melamine version features an attractive white plastic detail where the panels join. As with MX profile, Pendock is able to supply the product in a wide range of material options, including not only the traditional ply but also uPVC and metal to suit a variety of environmental conditions.

Founded in 1987, Pendock Ltd. supplies a wide range of encasement solutions, including Pipe Boxing, Cubicles, Column Casings and Radiator Guards and can provide a full installation service, including site survey, design, contract management and on-site installation.
