Metalline, who manufacture and supply a range of high quality insulated panels, rainscreen cladding, metal pressings and bespoke fabrication, have been specified on the recently completed Sir Ben Ainslie Racing – Americas Cup team base on Camber Quay in Portsmouth.
The new building which has received a BREEAM excellent rating will house the team’s headquarters for design, training and boat building, a public visitor centre and VIP hospitality.
The iconic shape and design of the building was the brainchild of architects HGP and above the boat housing and hangar area the building features a stacked floor appearance that has been extenuated with the use of Metalline’s curved and flat Ultima insulated panels in a natural silver anodised finish. The building, which spans over 74000 sq ft, featured over 400 square metres of Metalline’s superior grade.
J57S superior quality aluminium panels fitted both internally and externally to the building envelope.
Metalline’s range of insulated panels, rainscreen facades, soffits, column covers and bespoke metal work are all available in a range of colours and coatings including a high quality anodised finish.
Advanced tooling and the latest cutting, punching and bending machinery allow their engineering department to produce exterior panels that allow designers to make a real feature of the external view of their building design.
