Kayflow invests further in a strong, sustainable future with their Structured Underground SN8-rated drainage pipe ..

Kayflow, the rainwater, soil & waste, and underground drainage system specialist, has announced further investment in its manufacturing facilities and operations.

The latest addition is a new tooling machine, which is enabling the company to significantly increase its manufacturing capacity of the Kayflow Structured Underground SN8-rated pipe. This increase is allowing Kayflow to boost stock levels and ensure consistent product availability.

In addition to increasing its manufacturing capacity, this latest investment is enabling Kayflow to make its Structured Underground SN8-rated pipe product range more sustainable, whilst retaining the high-quality standards Kayflow customers have come to expect, as Andrew Bishop, National Account Manager at Kayflow, explains:

“Our Kayflow Structured Underground SN8-rated sewer drainage pipe is made in three layers; an outer and inner layer of virgin material and a centre core made from recycled material. This multilayer technology allows us to create a strong and structured wall pipe, which is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13476-2 (Kitemark – KM80991) and WIS 4-35-01.

“The centre core of the pipe contains an average mass of 82% recycled material, which is helping us to achieve a lower carbon footprint for both us and our customers. The recycled materials used in the manufacture of these pipes comes from within our company, creating a truly sustainable and circular economy. For our customers, specifying and using the Kayflow Structured Underground SN8-rated pipe can make a significant contribution to their sustainability targets.

“The Kayflow Structured Underground SN8-rated pipe is also manufactured here in the UK, helping to reduce transportation miles and emissions, both of which contribute to the product’s sustainable credentials,” adds Andrew.

The Kayflow Structured Underground SN8-rated drainage pipe is part of the 110mm & 160mm ranges and is available in 3m and 6m lengths, in both plain ended and single socketed styles.
