Knauf Corridor 400, supplied by the UK’s longest established distributor brand Nevill Long Interior Systems, is a highly functional, demountable ceiling system with market leading benefits compared to traditional T-Grid systems.
The self-supporting, acoustic system is formed of gypsum ceiling tiles and designed for buildings with long lengths of corridors such as schools, hospitals, hotels and high-rise apartments or those impacted by restricted ceiling widths.
The versatile system achieves Class B and Class C Sound Absorbency without any insulation and benefits from Knauf’s innovative air-purifying technology Cleaneo. The tiles can withstand load bearings of up to 3kg per plank, are highly durable – lasting 50 years or more – and 100% recyclable.
Corridor 400 is available in three sizes, four choices of perforation types and a plain option. The tiles are painted white so there is no need to decorate once installed, however they can be painted a different colour without impacting acoustic performance.
The different shapes, sizes and patterns of perforations within the tile will vary the amount of absorption and diffusion, helping specifiers and specialist interiors contractors match acoustics and aesthetics against project requirements.
Contractors can also expect ease and speed of installation and ultimate accessibility to services. Corridor 400 is up to three times faster to install than traditional T-Grid systems as it doesn’t require main runners, cross tees or suspension hangers, and its simplicity ensures easy access to service areas above the tiles.
