It’s where innovative patterns and design concepts meet head-on, to deliver an incredible palette of colours and finishes. Whether they are fun, retro, vintage or inspired by nature, this essential floor covering is a game changer for modern building interiors.

Gallery of new designs…

Choices, choices, and even more choices! With this new collection, Gerflor has delivered 96 exclusive designs, giving designers the freedom to unleash their creativity. With realistic Wood, Mineral, Textile or Graphic effects, these are designs that are sure to inspire a wide range of customers for a wide selection of high-traffic projects. As with the other Gerflor ranges, the Taralay Impression collection provides an immeasurable number of combinations, that can be mix and matched with other floorings, wall coverings and finishing solutions when a unique scheme is required.

With this new innovative collection, the creative and innovative patterns bring together three original concepts: Black and White for chic and retro designs, Biophilia which is nature-inspired designs, together with Happy for those fun and educational environments.

Taralay Impression from Gerflor, also holds on to its existing design roots and thinking with four major influences of various environments, which are in line with design thinking that is currently on-trend.

The Wood finishes provide a structured, textured, or wraparound interpretation that connects humans and the spaces which we live and work in. Nature is an inspired graphic that is simply an ode to nature through the gracefulness of leaves swept up by the wind, lush and thick tropical forests. The Mineral design strikes a balance between neutral and colourful tones with a hint of marble chips and polychrome shades. And finally, the Textile finish depicts the warmth and comfort of a woven surface in natural fibres and blended colours, creating a soft and subtly vintage look.

Design it your way…

Thanks to in house digital printing capabilities, Gerflor gives clients the opportunity to recolour the collection’s designs and opens the door to on-demand customisation. Gerflor is at the forefront of innovation, by offering its customers an extensive range of digital printing services, one of which includes MyTaralay Impression. With Gerflor’s MyTaralay Impression service, specifiers can make bold design statements, stimulate, and nurture creativity, and can stand out from the crowd by personalising the floors they are specifying. It’s a design service where forward-thinking designers can enter a world of one atmosphere, one style, one floor, but endless incredible possibilities.

Specifiers can also discover 5 unprecedented designs, created by 5 up and coming artists (Bleg, Flatman, Gol3M, Osru, Polkie).

They took advantage of the infinite possibilities offered by digital printing to create custom-made floor coverings. With no limit to their creativity and using their imagination and Gerflor’s MyTaralay design services, the artists were able to visit the world of design and Gerflor thus, benefited from these incredible raw creative juices. These 5 new exclusive designs have now been added to the MyTaralay library and are currently available, in addition to the standard collection. These include:

1/ OSRU ‘Ground-to-Air’

Osru evolves through the art of graffiti and goes from wall to canvas, exploring different techniques: spray, acrylic, watercolour, wood engraving etc. In his My Taralay design, the collection incorporates multi-coloured space. Each intersection causes an explosion of coloured bubbles that interact with each other like an effervescent galaxy.

2/ POLKIE Quirky graphic design

Trained in humanities and then in spatial design, Polkie was entirely dedicated to developing his artistic approach in 2019, having resided in Orange Garden in China. Polkie is all about a bunch of small monsters with their own codes, worlds, and stories in which these characters interact. In his My Taralay design, the collection includes naivety, poetry, and humour.

3/ FLATMAN Sensitivity in aquatic environments

Flatman is passionate about culture and nature. During her training at Emile Cohl (School of Art and Design in Lyon), she learnt to master a graphic language by mixing her creations with various infographic techniques: we are talking about digital art. Flatman began by questioning the role of humans in their environment. Without using anything other than water and seafoam, she focused on the characters, and brings them a kind of serenity. In her MyTaralay design, bathers blend into the sea in an interplay of shapes and counter-shapes created by water and bodies.

4/ GOL3M Mystical panoply

Gol3m, is a multi-faceted painter. It was Joann Sfaar who influenced Gol3m to start creating comics, illustrations. After studying at Émile Cohl (School of Art and Design in Lyon), his first commissions were wall paintings. Fantastical creatures evolving in a luminous atmosphere are born from his hand. In his MyTaralay design, clients will find featured astral art deco figures. Whether they are carnival allegories or characters, the masks are suspended from this celestial vault in mineral colours.

5/ BLEG Short stories & visual poems

A drawing artist, painter and muralist who draws his thick and uniform lines on a multitude of surfaces. Heavily influenced by modern painters of the twentieth century as well as surrealism and street art, Bleg likes to let loose and just go wherever his work takes him. In search of spontaneity and “artistic accidents”, his work is characterized by a search for perpetual simplicity. In is MyTaralay design, the artist sought to capture the movement of a noisy and confused crowd. A design that is somewhere between figurative and abstract that is very rich in its symbolism.

Nav Dhillon, Marketing Manager, Gerflor UK commented, “The new Taralay Impression Collection represents a new dawn for us, in terms of providing our customers with an even more inspiring and striking palette. It’s a flooring collection that’s aimed at delivering both beauty and practicality for our clients and users.
