Häfele, manufacturer and distributor of fixtures, fittings, architectural hardware and access control to the specification space, is relaunching two of its CPDs following reaccreditation from RIBA.
Currently in the process of refreshing its CPDs for the projects market, Häfele’s modules on ‘Defining Electronic Access Controls’ and ‘Specifying Door Ironmongery’ are now available for delivery.
The ‘Defining Electronic Access Controls’ CPD explores the history of access control systems, the elements that make up modern-day systems and how to correctly specify them. Those taking part will also gain a greater understanding of the elements that make up such systems, and the considerations for different applications including hotels, office spaces and high-rise builds.
The ‘Specifying Door Ironmongery’ CPD examines the hardware solutions used to manually operate, lock, close and protect doors on projects, and explores relevant legislation and regulations surrounding door hardware, providing real-world examples of common specification requirements.
Paul Smith, Head of Specification Sales for Häfele UK, said: “All our CPDs are designed to help those working in the specification space to apply best practice when it comes to the key fixtures and fittings that make up the buildings that millions of us use every day. Our commitment to this sector is to ensure these learning modules are kept current and relevant, and we’re pleased this latest iteration of two of our most popular CPDs have received the seal of approval from RIBA.”
Underpinning Häfele’s CPD suite is a collection of dedicated support services, delivered by its Projects 360° team, made up of over 20 DipGAI qualified ironmongers. They work in partnership with architects, designers, specifiers and contractors to ensure operators in the commercial real estate sector can benefit from tailored programmes of work, each designed around specific budgets and offering bespoke solutions. The team also offers design consultation, product specification, order management, ongoing support and after sales care as standard to guarantee customers the levels of accuracy and attention to detail they require for every part of a project.
Häfele’s CPDs are available upon request for in-person delivery, as well as virtual sessions taking place over Microsoft Teams.
