As part of its roadmap to get players, staff and fans back into its facilities, Doncaster Rovers Football Club has partnered with healthy workspace specialist, Fellowes to install a number of its AeraMax Pro commercial-grade air purification units at the Keepmoat Stadium and its Elite Performance Centre.
Understanding the role of building ventilation and purification to improve occupant health and wellbeing has become more important than ever following studies from Harvard and Syracuse Universities, which concluded that the quality of workspace air can be directly linked to employee productivity. Moreover, the recent COVID-19 virus has further increased awareness of how air purification can make a huge difference in the battle against airborne viruses, enabling the fostering of healthier environments and helping to reduce the transmission of microbiological contaminants between people.
With this increased focus and in anticipation of the return of fans to its stadium and to help improve the health and wellbeing of staff and players alike, Doncaster Rovers Football Club has partnered with healthy workspace specialist Fellowes, to install a number of its AeraMax Pro commercial-grade air purification units at the Keepmoat Stadium and its Elite Performance Centre.
Benefitting from a four-stage Advanced HEPA filtration process, the AeraMax Pro air purifiers remove up to 99.99% of harmful viruses, germs, allergens, odours, VOCs and particulates from the air. Of particular note, the AeraMax Pro range has been tested and certified to remove 99.9% or airborne concentration of Human Coronavirus 229E and the H1N1 flu virus within one hour of operation.
Through its unique, patented ‘PureView’ technology, the solution senses when airborne contamination is present in a room, automatically adjusting cleaning to remove the offending particles from the air. What’s more, the system displays this data on a digital screen in real time to provide facility users with maximum visibility and reassurance. Additionally, the solution monitors both air quality and occupancy to automatically adjust its fan speeds accordingly to ensure optimal air hygiene.
In looking to protect players, staff and fans on the reopening of the football season, Doncaster Rovers Football Club has had the solution fitted in several sites located throughout its stadium and training grounds, including in the first team dressing rooms, and corporate hospitality areas. By specifying and installing the patented, responsive technology, Doncaster Rovers Football Club is leading the way in English football when it comes to implementing proactive protocols in a post-pandemic environment.
Speaking on the new installation, Darryl Brunt, Sales & Marketing Director at Fellowes UK & Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Doncaster Rovers Football Club. There’s a real sense of community about the Club, with a great deal to be proud of both on and off the pitch. Through its installation of the AeraMax Pro commercial-grade air purification units, the club has taken a further step in helping to support the individuals that make it so special. In turn, the club is drawing a blueprint for other English football teams to follow as they begin welcoming players, staff and fans back into grounds.”
The AeraMax Pro air purification units have been built with continuous operation in mind. Through its design, the solution can be seamlessly incorporated into interior schemes and wall-mounted to remain as unobtrusive as possible. This approach was utilised at Keepmoat Stadium and the Elite Performance Centre. On top of offering an aesthetically pleasing option, wall-mounted solutions can help to create more effective whole-room circulation, as well as increasing clean air distribution.
Discussing the new air purification solutions, Shaun Lockwood, Chief Operating Officer at Doncaster Rovers Football Club commented: “It’s been a long time since all our players, staff and fans have been able to fully take advantage of the facilities at the Keepmoat Stadium and the Elite Performance Centre, so we’re very excited to welcome them back – but we must do so as safely as possible. To support in this effort, we have worked to install a number of Fellowes’ air purifier solutions to clean the air and provide the reassurance that our indoor areas are safe, as part of an overall strategy to help protect what matters the most to us – our supporters, players, staff and guests.”
The installations of the AeraMax Pro solutions at the Keepmoat Stadium and the Elite Performance Centre are now complete. As such, Doncaster Rovers Football Club is ready to welcome back players, staff and fans to its stadium in a clean and healthy manner and will continue to evaluate indoor air quality at the site to ensure optimum performance levels are maintained.
