With autumn/winter just around the corner, now is the perfect time to reassess your home’s heating and consider whether your current configuration is as cosy and comfortable as possible. There’s nothing quite like coming home to a feature stove in the living room, dining area or a large open-plan space. Not only does a stove create a cosy glow to warm up the whole family, but it also provides a focal point feature within any interior.
With this in mind, Mendip Stoves has launched its first-ever gas stove to complement all styles of décor and all budgets. The Ashcott convection gas model is simply styled with a classic look; it comes with a remote control and optional app control, extending the current Mendip range in order to provide the perfect heating source for all homeowners, whichever fuel they prefer and whichever fuel source suits their property.
The remote controlled Ashcott heats a room quickly, cleanly and simply. It comes with dual burners, which emit a heat output of between 1kW and 6kW. This means that when using the smaller burner, even on a low 1kW setting, you still benefit from the cosy glow of a flickering flame within. With full electronic ignition, it is also available with the option of operating the Ashcott from your smartphone or tablet via the app. So now you can turn your stove on as you travel home from work or after a cold day when the snow starts to fall and return to the cosiest of rooms. It can also be programmed with a timer switch, that regulates the room’s temperature, turning the stove on and off as needed.
Designed in their UK factory nestled deep in the Mendip Hills, the new Ashcott gas stove comes with a balanced flue so it can be used in locations where a solid flue cannot, such as smokeless zones, new-builds and terraced houses. As the flue can exit horizontally, this makes it much more flexible than a conventional flue, which needs to be directed through a chimney.
The Ashcott gas stove is part of the Woodland Trust offer from Mendip Stoves. For every stove sold, Mendip will donate three trees to the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading conservation charity.
Available as a logstore or leg version as LPG or natural gas, it is priced £1,450.
