Imperial Bricks, the leading traditional handmade bricks supplier in the UK, has created an app to help architects and specifiers identify the right brick for their projects. Whether out on site or in the office, the app makes it easy to view Imperial’s entire range of bricks and the relevant technical data.
Users can upload a picture of existing brickwork, and Imperial Bricks’ expert team will send the closest brick match from its range – usually an exact match. Enter the dimensions of a wall, and the built-in brick calculator will determine how many bricks are required in either imperial or metric sizes. Users can also specify the brickwork bond – or pattern – used for an accurate estimation.
It’s easy to source and compare bricks (including brick slips, ‘specials’ and pavers) by region, size, colour, level of weathering and texture. Users can request samples, brochures or even a site visit to determine the best brick.
Jason Hughes, MD of Imperial Bricks says: “Our in-house brick experts are very knowledgeable on choosing the right brick for the right project. The Brick Matcher app is a great tool to find the perfect match for existing brickwork on refurb projects or to ensure a new build ‘blends in’ with surrounding properties.”
Imperial Bricks offers excellent lead times and bespoke blending or weathering across its whole range of handmade, wirecut and pressed bricks. Visit the iTunes store and search ‘Imperial Bricks’ to download the iOS app, with Android to follow in the next few weeks.
